Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. As well as our regular Wednesday morning eucharist at 10.30 am, there will be a sung eucharist at 7.30 pm. In each case, the service includes the imposition of ashes as a sign of penitence for those who wish to receive.Find out more »

Palm Sunday is the start of Holy Week, the most momentous week in the Christian calendar. On Palm Sunday Jesus enters Jerusalem and is greeted as the new king of Israel. Within a week he has been executed. The service begins, weather permitting, by the ruins of the old church before we process into the Minster and hear the story of Christ's passion and death on the cross.Find out more »
On Maundy Thursday, Christians commemorate the night that Jesus shared the passover meal with his disciples, instituting the eucharist, celebrating in bread and wine his saving life for the world. It is also the night when Jesus took a towel and a bowel and washed his disciples' feet. The celebration of the Lord's Supper ends with a time of silent reflection as Jesus waited in the Garden of Gethsemane for his pending arrest and trial.Find out more »
Good Friday is the most solemn day in the Christian calendar. Join us for a series of devotional meditations on the passion and death of Jesus with hymns culminating in the historic liturgy of the day (dramatic reading of the passion, prayers and Holy Communion).
